Adriana Koe

An experienced Sydney-based lawyer, leading Western Union's South East Asia & Oceania Legal Team.

With top-tier firm experience in Securitisation, Capital Markets, Structured Finance and Corporate Law alongside a background in Marketing and advocacy for international development/environmental issues, Adriana is commercially-minded, solutions-oriented and client-focused. She began her career at King & Wood Mallesons and Ashurst before moving in-house with a key client in a quasi-commercial role.

As Senior Legal Counsel for the Royal Bank of Scotland, Adriana developed and fine-tuned skills in Derivatives, Corporate Governance and Global Transaction Services. In her current, geographically diverse, role at Western Union, she's had the opportunity to interact with various government regulators and develop submissions to help contribute to the shape of regulatory reform in the fields of Consumer Money Transfer, International Payments and Foreign Exchange Risk Management.

As a mum-to-4, she's adept at time management and juggling (as well as trapeze, lyra and other circus arts in times gone by ...). Apart from family and work, her interests lie in yoga, pilates, fine arts, fibre crafts and her challenging role as a dance mum!

As part of the Women@WU organising committee, Adriana helped to establish Western Union's global Mentoring Circles programme for women.
