Angela Oetama is the co-founder of Gradana, a pioneer of property fintech in South East Asia that through its P2P mechanism bridges the issue of making property more affordable and yet investable at the same time.
Joining in 2012 starting as a Section Head for Regional & Investment – South East Asia & Asia Pacific and subsequent promotions as Department Head of New Business Venture, Department Head of Build to Suit and last as the Division Head of Business Development, all within 6 years in Sinarmas Land which is remarkable for being the youngest employee to hold a senior management position in the company. Being part of a huge corporation and the largest property developer in Indonesia with over 10,000 hectares of land bank and diverse portfolio ranging from township, residentials, commercial, industrial estates, and hospitality in Greater Jakarta as well as other secondary cities throughout Indonesia and overseas, she is mainly responsible for business development activities starting from managerial executions, partnership development, legal structuring till eventually leading the initiatives and also for new product development initiatives such as Build to Suit. This is where she meets her co-founder for Gradana, William who was the Head of Strategic Planning in the company. The idea came out of their mutual concerns that a lot of their peers and colleagues can’t even afford to purchase property yet due to the mismatch between the earnings and property prices and decide to put their head, skills and beliefs together to make Gradana happen and solving property related issues through financial technology products.
Gradana has been recognized as one of the top 10 P2P lending companies in Indonesia by KPMG, Indonesia Country Winner for Best Fintech in ASEAN Rice Bowl Awards and 1 of the winners of the Swiss government AETP Program.
Prior to Sinarmas Land, Angela has also previously worked for Salim and Sampoerna group, both in Business Development, Marketing & Tenant Relations. Angela is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in International Business from San Jose State University, CA, USA and worked in Emphasys Medical upon graduation, before going back to Indonesia in 2005.
