I have been a financial services professional for more than fifteen years across two very different geographies - Singapore and India. My experience in the vibrant emerging markets in India were an exciting and sharp contrast to focused, professional cutting edge technology driven world in Singapore.
I started my career with India's leading Private Sector Bank, HDFC Bank, in their Treasury Advisory Group, helping large Indian Corporates with their Foreign Exchange & Interest Rate Risk Management through both vanilla products and complex derivatives. This rich experience was invaluable when I joined the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS)' Global Markets division - where I catered to a number of Multi-National Corporations giving me a rich cross-functional and varied experience. I drove the business to become a top performer for four consecutive years in Corporate FX and Derivatives Sales- while being actively involved in several innovative technology projects i.e, FX dealing platform, automating cash management and an cross-border online liquidity solutions. This technological push in the firm drove my move towards the financial hub of Asia - Singapore.
My considered break to spend time with my kids in 2016/17, helped me refocus and reinforced my belief that FinTech would change the way financial services world and culminated in me joining SingX - a Singapore based start-up changing the way cross border payments were being made.
Having spent over a couple of years in SingX and as part of the management team, I am proud to have contributed to our geographical expansion into three markets, to the tremendous growth in volumes and number of customers, to expanding coverage to more than 40 countries and most importantly, to creating a strong and cohesive team.
I have obtained by Masters in Business Administration from India , and am a General Electric (GE) Scholar. I have also received the Veronica Louis Scholarship for my undergraduate degree in Commerce from Stella Maris College, India.
