Azhar Mambetova is coordinating digital transformation in the one of the largest financial institutions in Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia) using digital technologies to increase financial inclusion in the country and create digital financial services for unbanked customers (60% of population). She has hands-on experience in mobile wallets for unbanked, online lending using alternative data and building branchless banking in rural areas. Azhar was a member of the inaugural 2018 Money2020 RiseUp cohort and also has recently completed internship at Linkedin (San Francisco, California) as Techwomen program 2019 finalist. She holds Master in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Solvay Brussels School and MIP Politecnico di Milano.
